Véronique Barrillot explains her work

Véronique Barrillot sees and paints simultaneously, capturing two superimposed states as described by quantum physics. Her paintings exist solely within the eye and movement of the viewer, requiring active engagement to fully decipher and appreciate the work. Her art is not an optical illusion, nor an anamorphosis, nor is it created through artificial intelligence; rather, it stands as a uniquely original expression.

Véronique’a paintings have a double reality, counterintuitive and breaking with our usual perception. It is a unique experience that questions our perception. Depending on whether the viewer looks closely or from afar, whether they move forward or backward, they do not see the same painting. The two painted subjects interfere, they are "entangled" in the quantum sense, without ever mixing.

For a few days at MAJU, Véronique spent time explaining her pieces to captivated visitors, who left amazed and astounded by the depth and complexity of what they discovered.
